AIM – the organisation for independent museums – was founded to encourage new standards in the provision of service to users. AIM represents the strengths and needs in national policy making and provides a thriving network of information and help for members.

Independent Museums range from small local organisations, mainly operated by volunteers, to large or national organisations – representing over half of all museums in the UK.

We intend to expand the site to provide additional features such as links to museum websites and exclusive services to members like the ability to download extra copies of the Bulletin from the website.
