MLA North East TransitionMLA North East will scale back its activities, close the website and eBulletin, and close its office at the House of Recovery on 12th December, 2008. Museum development functions will transfer to the North East Regional Museum Hub. Until 12th December 2008 please contact MLA North East staff for information on programmes and projects as follows:-

By the beginning of 2009 MLA will have in place the Director of Engagement for the three Northern regions - North East, North West, Yorkshire - and the Regional Manager for the North East.
Between January and March 2009 two remaining MLA North East staff will be based with Newcastle City Council, to complete outstanding projects, oversee the transition to MLA of relevant functions and manage the transfer of all MLA North East activity. The new arrangements will formally commence from 1st April, 2009.
