E. works at the Theatre by the Lake and is responsible for raising sponsorship, grant aid and developing relationships with business partners. With a 50% grant from CCSP she was able to attend the National Arts Fund Raising School on a one week course. She has since put her learning into practice in both securing new business sponsorship for the theatre and in renewing existing partnerships. She wanted to expand her career in the arts but she also wanted to remain in Cumbria this course enable her to do that rather than having to move out of the County.

E. now acts as a mentor for other organisations wanting to improve their fund raising skill. Transferring her knowledge to other and thereby multiplying the impact of the investment in her training.
